About this site

Large Groups is a directory of UK self-catering houses that sleep 10 or more. It exists because finding a house for 14 people means opening six agency sites, setting the same filters six times, and losing track of which one had the hot tub.

What it is

423 houses, cottages, lodges and barns across 23 UK regions, all sleeping at least 10. We organise them the way people search: by region, by group size, by feature and by occasion. Every house page links to the agency that actually books it. We do not take bookings, hold dates, or handle money.

Where the data comes from

The property details come from the published product feeds of the agencies we work with, currently holidaycottages.co.uk. We refresh them weekly; the current data was taken on 1 November 2026. The agency page is always the source of truth for price, availability and terms.

Descriptions on this site are rewritten from the agency's structured facts (sleeps, bedrooms, listed features, location). They are meant to be plain and accurate, not persuasive. If a description claims something the facts table does not show, that is our mistake; please tell us.

What we do not promise

• Availability. We never show dates. "From" prices are the lowest weekly rate in the feed on the day we checked.
• Party permission. "Celebrations welcome" appears only when the agency listing says so. "Ask the owner" means it did not say either way. Houses whose listing bans parties are never shown on a party page.
• Completeness. Smaller agencies and owner-direct houses are not here yet.
