How we make money

Every "Check availability" button on this site is an affiliate link. If you click one and go on to book, the agency pays us a commission. You pay the same price as if you had gone to the agency directly.

The agencies

We take part in the affiliate programmes of holidaycottages.co.uk, run through the Awin network. A typical commission is a few percent of the booking value, paid by the agency out of its margin.

What it changes

• Nothing about your price, the terms, or who you are booking with. The contract is between you and the agency.
• Which agencies appear. We list houses from the agencies that have a programme we can join. A great house with an agency that does not is not here, and we say so rather than pretend otherwise.

What it does not change

• Order. Listing pages are sorted by size, then price. Party pages put hot tubs and games rooms first. No house is placed higher because it pays more; the commission rate does not vary by house.
• Facts. Sleeps, bedrooms and features come from the agency feed. We do not inflate them.
• The party chip. "Celebrations welcome" is shown only when the listing says so, because sending a hen party to a house that bans them helps nobody, including us.

Tracking

Outbound links pass through a counter on our side so we can see which pages lead to bookings. We use cookie-free analytics (Plausible and Ahrefs) and set no advertising cookies. The agency's own site will set its cookies once you are there; the Awin network uses a 30-day cookie to attribute the booking to us.
