Monkham House

If you need one roof for 16 people in Somerset, Monkham House is a house with 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Sleeping 16, it suits a few families together or a birthday group that wants one roof rather than two cottages. Expect to share bathrooms: 4 between 7 rooms, so agree a rota or stagger the mornings. Listed features: dog friendly, tennis court and enclosed garden. Dogs are accepted; check how many and whether there is a charge. The listing does not say whether celebrations are allowed. Ask the owner before you book if that is the plan. Prices start from £2,171 a week on the holidaycottages.co.uk page (checked 1 November 2026), which works out at about £136 per person for a full week at capacity. Ask whether the sleeps number includes sofa beds or bunks, and which rooms are doubles.
