The Manor House

The Manor House is a manor house near Alston in Northumberland. It sleeps 22 across 11 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. That is at least one bathroom per bedroom, which matters when fourteen people want a shower before dinner. The feed lists no stand-out features, so treat this as a plain, roomy base rather than a party house. At 22 it is big enough for two or three families or a full friends' weekend without anyone on a sofa bed. Prices start from £3,479 a week on the holidaycottages.co.uk page (checked 1 November 2026), which works out at about £158 per person for a full week at capacity. The listing does not say whether celebrations are allowed. Ask the owner before you book if that is the plan. Ask about minimum nights, the damage deposit and whether bed linen and towels are included.
