About this house

If you need one roof for 18 people in Devon, Alminstone House is a house with 8 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Sleeping 18, it suits a few families together or a birthday group that wants one roof rather than two cottages. Expect to share bathrooms: 3 between 8 rooms, so agree a rota or stagger the mornings. Listed features: swimming pool, enclosed garden and ground-floor bedroom. The swimming pool is what most groups will book it for. The listing says celebrations are welcome, but confirm the house rules on noise and numbers before you pay a deposit. Prices start from £1,582 a week on the holidaycottages.co.uk page (checked 1 November 2026), which works out at about £88 per person for a full week at capacity. Ask whether the sleeps number includes sofa beds or bunks, and which rooms are doubles.
